WeLinkTalent has been made aware of individuals impersonating our consultants — including our CEO — to run fake "confidential retained searches".

What is happening

Someone is approaching candidates while presenting themselves as WeLinkTalent. The approach usually looks like this:

A message on LinkedIn, WhatsApp or email offering a "confidential senior search" or an "exclusive role"
A request for your CV, ID documents or personal details
A mention of Singapore, the Middle East, or a role in HR, finance or technology
Sometimes a request for payment — for "visa processing", "registration", "training" or "certification"

The country and the role change. The pattern does not.

What WeLinkTalent will never do

We will never ask you for payment, bank details or financial information. Not for a visa, not for training, not for anything.
We will never ask for your NRIC, passport copy or bank statements as a first step.
We will never guarantee you a job through an unsolicited message.
We will never contact you from a personal messaging account, or from an email address that is not @welinktalent.com.

How to verify that a message really comes from us

Check the sender's domain. Every legitimate WeLinkTalent email comes from an @welinktalent.com address.
Check our LinkedIn page and our consultants' profiles. If the person contacting you is not part of our team, it is not us.
Our live roles are always published at careers.welinktalent.com. If the "exclusive opportunity" is nowhere to be found and the story depends on total secrecy, be suspicious.
When in doubt, ask us. Write to contact@welinktalent.com and we will confirm in writing whether the approach is genuine.

WeLinkTalent is aware of people impersonating its consultants to run fake confidential searches. Check three things: every genuine WeLinkTalent email comes from an @welinktalent.com address, the person must appear on the company's LinkedIn page or a consultant's verified profile, and every real role is published at careers.welinktalent.com. If the person is not on the team and the "exclusive opportunity" is nowhere to be found, it is almost certainly a scam.

Does WeLinkTalent ever ask candidates for payment?

Never. WeLinkTalent does not ask candidates for payment, bank details or financial information — not for a visa, not for training, not for certification, not for anything. Anyone asking for money for "visa processing", "registration" or "training" is not WeLinkTalent.

Will WeLinkTalent ask for my passport, NRIC or bank statements up front?
